AMBROSIA ABS Matte Filament of the Gods - 1KG Bambu AMS Friendly Cardboard Spools Premium 3D Printing Filament
About product
When West3D originally opened its doors, we had a filament we loved. Over time, the love wained as corners were cut and quality diminished. Released in December 2024, Ambrosia Filament's line of ABS is the rebirth of some darn good ABS.
This filament, unlike our Uber ABS+, has no additional polymer additives that impact printability or material properties. The resin was specially selected and has a track record of being printable and having a great surface finish. This paired with our quality standards reinvents this storied ABS filament.
Note, Black Matte ABS is Pantone 7C, which is a very dark grey.
Feed your Printer the Filament of the Gods.
Derived from 100% Virgin Grade-A Non-Toxic pellets. Manufactured to a tighter than standard tolerance (+/- 0.03mm) you'll experience consistent extrusion throughout the spool.
ABS Filament (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is one of the most popular 3D printing filaments around, used in a variety of applications including industrial/engineering. It is a filament that handles bridging really well, and offers a great combination of strength and durability making it the first choice for more practical 3D prints (over PETG or PLA) that require tougher longer lasting items that can withstand greater temperatures. ABS can be smoothed using acetone, making for strikingly smooth parts.
This filament is a great all around filament when you need strength, durability, and the ability to withstand heat. This filament performs exceedingly well for an ABS, however because it's an unadulterated resin it is still recommended to print in an enclosure. A heated bed is required.
The glue holding the filament spool together is rated for an environment of 70C (158F). If using a filament dryer or require the filament spool by placed in an environment exceeding this temperature, we recommend printing a spool clip (here).
Filament can absorb moisture easily. To prevent moisture absorption and contamination, the packing of filament should be kept sealed and in an airtight container with desiccant.
Disclaimer: Filaments, including this product, may emit toxic fumes (Volatile Organic Compounds) into the air when heated. Please consider this and follow safety protocols when printing with Ambrosia Filament. Only use in a well ventilated area, with proper respiration equipment.
